See Jane Work

I know I should be apologizing AGAIN for another month without a post, falling off on my promise about Must Have Mondays, for not updating you on my current projects, etc. but I am not going to do any of that. Instead I am going to present to you See Jane Work and you will all forgive me for my lack in all things Blog related. You might actually love me more than you did when you started reading.

I was actually giddy when Amy Hannon, Sincerely Yours Paper, first posted this site on her blog. So giddy, in fact, that I am now bringing her post to my site and sharing it with all of you. Enjoy these fabulous adult school supplies!!

Must Have Mondays!

Oh my! Monday snuck up on me again! Being out of town for the holiday has thrown me for a loop and I had to hit the ground running with orders when I got home this afternoon {between grocery shopping and whipping up a side dish for a get together tonight, of course. Superwoman, I know.}! I had been searching since last week for something fabulous to write about and had something picked out until a blog reader {I don't know who you are, but thank you!} sent me this fabulous link to Sage Your Fancy. I loved what I saw and am already thinking about contacting her to make me some funky throw pillows for my living room! But that is beside the point, today's MUST HAVE is this swanky little apron.

If this does not inspire you to invite your friends over for a summer BBQ, I don't know what will. At only $22, this homemade apron would make a great addition to your kitchen! Being a newlywed {can you say that after 13 months of marriage?} I recently got a bunch of fabulous stuff to make my house a home, but I did not get an apron! That is until my birthday when my husbands grandma {thanks Nana!} had one made for me and I wear it all the time and I know you will wear this bad boy too just click the link above and head over to Sage Your Fancy's shop and get yourself one!

Happy Monday everyone!

Must Have Mondays

My apologies for missing Must Have Mondays yesterday! Between painting my office and keeping up with orders... it completely slipped my mind! I promise to try harder and hope to have something fabulous picked out for next Monday!

Painting was a success! Lettuce Alone was the color choice and I couldn't be happier! It took us a while to complete, but the perfectionist in my husband wouldn't accept anything less than the best so it looks professional! My desk is still in the middle of the room and as I type this I am sitting on my filing cabinet, but hopefully soon I will get a new desk in here and be bale to put things back in order! When I do, I will post photos of the whole room!

A new office.

I have been working a lot lately and it has become alarmingly apparent that there is just not enough space in this quaint space I currently call my guest room turned lowercase letter designs studio. My solution? I need an office. Since adding onto my house would be ridiculous and completely out of the question, my husband and I have decided that our front bedroom will become my new office. What does that mean? For starters we will move the bed out of here. Not a big deal in the least considering we have another spare room and since everyone we know lives basically within a 10 mile radius of us, no one uses the guest rooms anyway! I then hope to get a new desk and some super fun storage bins, get organized and hang some fun curtains. Speaking of curtains, I have yet to find any that I love. If anyone reading this makes curtains and wants a BIG plug to the 10s of readers who tune in each day get in touch with me! Maybe we can trade services? Anyway, the big renovation gets underway this weekend as we tackle painting! I have it narrowed down to about 3 shades of green so hopefully between now and Sunday I will be able to choose! Below are the before photos.

This is a shot from the doorway.

Where the magic happens. Please ignore my shoes... I honestly have no idea why I put them there.

Part of my storage right now. This is the stuff I use daily. I have a closet full of stuff that I need at a moments notice, but have no room for right now!

Have any decorating tips? I have no money to offer you, but I will make sure I tell everyone I know how awesome you are and where I got such wonderful ideas! :) Stay tuned for after photos.

Must Have Mondays

I love local business. Maybe because I myself am a local business, but there is just something about handmade {versus mass produced} items that make life sweeter. I find great joy in writing notes and giving gifts and I enjoy it that much more when it is homemade. Thus, I have decided to start "Must have Mondays!" in an effort to support local businesses and the fun little lovelies these talented designers create. Local doesn't necessarily have to be someone in close proximity to me, but just someone who has their own unique business {i.e. etsy.com}. Know something that is a "must have" or maybe you have a fancy creation you want to share? Send it to me!!

Today's must have is a Blessing Ring from design {etc}. I stumbled across this website completely by accident and I'm so glad I did! What a sweet, sweet gift for a mom-to-be, bride-to-be or a just because gift for your best friend!

design etc has more fabulous finds so when you have some time {believe me you will want to look around!} head on over and check it out!

Feeling Modern.

With some fun new fonts tucked away in my design program, I decided to put them to good use today! In between cleaning, organizing and some laundry thrown in, I found sometime to be creative and also found myself in a very "modern" mood hence the theme of these 6 new designs. All are available for purchase and can be altered to fit YOUR needs! Enjoy...

I love, love, LOVE your feedback! It helps me know what will sell and what won't so don't be afraid to voice your opinion!

Fonts.

I love fonts! Love is probably an understatement as I am actually giddy right now as I search through fonts to buy! I find crazy amounts of joy in watching the way letters change from each font! Strange? Probably, but I figure it is normal for people in the stationery business! Stay tuned for new designs and new fonts!!
